Triangle Twofer

Hi friends! Today I am playing along with the Twofer Challenge, which is Geometric.

The geometric shape I am using is (obviously) triangles. I posted this card on Sunday, and you can go to the post and find the details here (along with a photo of a triangular shaped building in NYC). This card was made with the 'smooshing' technique, and is an anniversary card for friends. I had intended to post the Twofer the following day, but you know how life sometimes gets in the way...

A few days later, here is card #2, which is for my nephews birthday. I think this one is a little more masculine, and this time I watercolored the panels of triangles, to show a bit more definition to the shapes. I used only one black watercolor, and varied the dilution to create different shades. I also Twofer'd the sentiment stamps and dies, and did I mention this background stamp was also NBUS?!

I love the shine on this one, with the gold embossing and foil sentiment.

... and here's my Twofer photo!

WOW, Sandy! You should design patterned paper! Your background coloring on your design for both cards is really sensational! These cards would work for either gender which is a bonus! Thank you so much for playing Twofer Card Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell

Sandy, I love both versions. The grey is gorgeous, too and a great masculine version of your original card. I love the geometric shapes - beautiful!

Wow, I am loving both of these twofers! The smooshing looks so beautiful and I love the triangle background stamp. It's so cool looking. But I really love the masculine one, the water coloring using black only gives so much depth to those triangles. Beautiful cards for both! Hugs, Brenda

OK, you will NOT enable another shopping trip for me! I will not go buy this awesome abstract triangle stamp because I could never make it look as fabulous as you did....twice! I love both of these cards. The smooshed background is gorgeous especially with the white embossing. Your tonal watercolor background of the second is STUNNING especially with the gold embossing. Just amazing, my friend, as is every card you make!

It always amazes me how much the look and feel of a card can change by simply using different colors! Love them both: The smooshed warm colors of the first and the various shades of grey combined with the gold embossing of the second card makes for a very classy look! I had been eyeing this background stamp but now I really want it...
Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer!

FABULOUS!!! Not sure which is my favorite! Things are less than calm in my neck of the woods...so crafting and blog surfing is being neglected! So I apologize for my absence and lack of dropping by! Cyber Hugs!

Two beautiful cards Sandy. Love this background stamp. Looks beautiful heat emboseed in white with the yellow and orange smooshed watercolouring over top. The black accents really pop.

Your second version makes a perfect masculine card. The gold embossing adds some elegance. Great work with using just one colour and varying the shades Fantastic design. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!

There's something special about triangles. Your cards have such nice, clean lines, as well as tons of interest with their coloring. The smooshing is delightful, and the shades of black on your birthday card is perfectly masculine. Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Bev
