CAS Christmas Trees

Hi friends! I've been trying to squeeze in a few Christmas cards each month, as my stash is painfully low. After all, there are only 126 days until Christmas :) I know what you are thinking... you want to throw a rock at me right now, lol!

This time of year I need a challenge to get my creative Christmas juices flowing, and the first challenge I'm playing along with today is CAS Christmas, where the challenge is Tree. There are some really stunning cards in their gallery; you should check it out. Retro Rubber has a Tic-Tac-Toe board this week, and I chose diagonally from bottom left: Birds, Green, Masculine. The Let It Snow stamp set I used is a real oldie. It dates back to 2012, before every stamp set came with matching dies!

I stamped the same tree image from Lawn Fawn numerous times in eight different shades of green ink. I borrowed a tiny cardinal from a Mama Elephant set, for a little pop of red.

Stamp Sets: Let it Snow (Lawn Fawn), Winter Wonderland (Mama Elephant)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah)
Ink Pads: Red Royal, Green Apple, Field Greens, Emerald Green, Forever Green, Lime Green, Soft Olive, Green Hills, Mint Julep (Hero Arts)
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Stiched Hillside Border Dies (Lawn Fawn)
Accesories: Moonshine Sequins (Hero Arts)

Thanks for visiting!

I LOVE your trees, Sandy! Using all those shades of green makes it look like different sizes of these fun trees! Love the snow bank too! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Christmas!

I love your a little graphic design-ish card, Sandy! It's so interesting to look at the trees because you used a different shade of green for each tree (the same stamp)! The red cardinal is such a lovely accent, echoing the sentiment color. Thanks so much for playing along at CAS Christmas! Hideko xx

I love this - even if the idea of Christmas cards seems ridiculously soon! :-)
The little red bird is perfect and ties in with the greeting. The multi-green trees make a great forest. Thank you for joining us at Retro Rubber and for taking on my tic-tac-toe challenge.

Love your CAS card, the trees are stunning. I make christmas cards from 1st of Aug until mid October, a few here and there and BOOM! I've got them all. I have a head start this year, as I have approx 30 that I have made for challenges throughout the year. Thanks for playing along with us at Retro Rubber this time. Claire DT
