PP392 Tea Party

Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week the amazing Nance is our hostess with a theme challenge: Tea Party. What a gorgeous inspiration photo and a lovely assortment of cups, certainly very inspiring!

Though my first thought was to create something vintage-y and floral, unfortunately I didn't have the appropriate stamps for that. Instead, I created this CAS card with more graphic and modern lines. I let the patterned paper do most the work, and stamped only the cup and sentiment.

Stamp Sets: Caffeinated Cups, Be a Barista (Reverse Confetti)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah)
Patterned Paper: Summer Fun (Echo Park)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Soft Brown (Hero Arts)
Makers: Copic
Tools: Big Shot, Large Tag Dies (Simon Says Stamp), Caffeinated Cups Dies(Reverse Confetti)
Accessories: Black Hemp Twine (Hemptique), Enamel Dots (Simple Stories)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

Inky hugs :)

Good Morning Sandy, Ahh a cup of tea. Just a picture brings calmness. Like the colors and the layout. Love the papers . . . the black & white stripes and red polka dots! You just have to smile and have a friendly memory.

What's not to love about this: great design, super colour choices, magnificent colouring and a sweet sentiment! Fabulous! As to where I got the image for my card - well, I spent ages browsing in Spotlight hoping for a tea-related thing to appear before me. (Spotlight is a big box craft store, with very uneven supply lines and a not very cohesive buying policy.) Tucked in a corner I found a sheet of scrapbooking paper by American Crafts. It had many images on it and it was called The Colour of Memories.

I love the graphic and modern lines of your card, Sandy! You're a master of mixing patterns and a great job on the coloring of your image. I think it's refreshing to see a clean and modern take on an otherwise vintage theme...great
job!
