Pink Spring Flowers

Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week the wonderful and talented Joanne is our hostess with a color challenge: Any shade of Pink. So many wonderful options here!

One of my favorite color combos is pink and green, and I had another new floral stamp set just waiting to be inked up so I took it out for a whirl. I heat embossed the images onto watercolor card stock and colored with a paintbrush and distress inks. The single bloom was so pretty on its own that I let it fly solo.

I'm also playing along with the Girl Power theme at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, and the Garden theme at CAS Watercolor.

Stamp Sets: Spring Flowers, More Spring Flowers, Sending and Wishing (Simon Says Stamp)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Smooth Watercolor (Bristol), Cotton Candy (Simon Says Stamp)
Ink Pads: Versamark; Field Greens (Hero Arts), Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Mowed Lawn Distress Inks (Ranger)
Tools: Heat Tool, Big Shot, Spring Flowers Dies, More Spring Flowers Dies, Sending and Wishing Die (Simon Says Stamp), Quilted Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz)
Accessories: White Embossing Powder (Simon Says Stamp)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

Inky hugs :)

HI sandy

Love love love your card. But I have a question I ordered the flower stamp and die from Simon says stamps but it isn't the same flower you used. Can you please tell me which flower stamp you used?

Oh my! This stamp is wonderful in itself but the way you've shaded it - amazing. Pink and green is such a lovely combination and the embossed panel in behind it makes the flower stand out even more. I love this!

My commenting on the gallery got away with me last week so I'm late to the comment party I'm afraid - please forgive me! I adore this card Sandy: the softly coloured flower, the textured panel and diecut sentiment - what's not to love? A fabulous card for my Shades of Pink challenge!
