I Heart You, PP379

Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week the wonderful and talented Claire is our hostess with a theme challenge: Will you be my Valentine? Aside from the Valentine theme, I was inspired by the cute bird in the challenge badge.

One of my crafty goals for 2018 was to use as much of my NBUS (never before used stuff) as possible. This is one of those stamp sets. I 'had to have it' over a year ago, and this is the first time it is seeing ink. I don't know why because I absolutely love it. Could it be, perhaps, I have too much stuff? It has already retired, and I combined it with some more retired products which I thought worked perfectly with it.

A peek at my CAS interior... and the matching envelope.

Supplies (All Stampin' Up)
Stamp Sets: Builder Birdcage, And Many More, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Basic Black
Patterned Paper: Typeset
Ink Pads: Real Red, Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Tools: Big Shot, Envelope Liner Framelits
Accessories: Crochet Trim, Linen Thread

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

Inky hugs :)

Sandy, I love this birdcage, too! And, NO we never have too much stuff! LOL! Love this gorgeous black and white DSP! WOW! So elegant! Those little red birds just pop! You certainly rocked my challenge this week! Have a great week, My Friend! XX

Oh!! You still have some of that DSP!! It's kind of awesome to see some of the older stuff again! And I will admit that I HAD to have that stamp set too, and no, it haven't seen ink yet 😳 But you have inspired me with your cute design!! Inky hugs!

Oh so elegant and classy, Sandy! I still have some of that paper too and I love it especially combined here with the beautiful--almost Victorian--birdcage. The pop of red birdies is just perfect. Love it!

I do love black and white with a splash of red. It never grows old. Love the birdcage - mine is even older as I had Aviary and it was one of the first stamps I ever bought. That paper is magical too. Retro Rubber is a challenge made just for secret stashes of NBUS - you have to use old stamps older than a year to play there - and it sure encourages you to get into the older stuff. But I digress. This is just beautiful.

I just love this elegant card Sandy - the black and white with the pop of red is just so classically beautiful. I too have far too much NBUS - not this set though, like Jan I still have the Aviary set. I keep thinking 'one day...' - I'll get to them eventually, just like you!

This is my all time favorite color combo and your card is wonderful and elegant. I made the same promise to myself about NBUS...don't ask me how it's going :) Hope you're having a great week ~ Hugs, Annie

Sandy, this is fabulous. I love the layer of patterned paper and the bright white space around the focal image. Such a sophisticated card. The touch of twine was the perfect finishing touch and I love how you used the same patterned paper on the envelope. Stunning, my friend
