Pink Poinsettias for The Paper Players

Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week sweet Claire is our hostess with a color challenge. This is also our last challenge of the year, so we hope you'll find some time to play along!

We'll also be saying goodbye to our wonderful Guest Designer for the last twelve months, Deanne (sniff, sniff)! However, we have a new GD joining us for our first challenge on January 7, and we hope you'll welcome her with some kind comments.

After pondering this combo for a while, I thought that the two pink hues and the two green hues would look great layered upon one another. That decided, it's no surprise I came up with a floral design. I embossed my poinsettias on watercolor card stock in gold, doing a little masking. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and water.

I thought I'd give you a couple of close up shots of the gold embossing. It's very pretty IRL!

Stamp Sets: Poinsettia, Jingle Greetings (Mama Elephant)
Card Stock: Smooth Watercolor Card Stock (Bristol), Solar White (Neenah)
Ink: Versamark
Markers: Clean Color Markers (Zig)
Tools: Heat Tool
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Sequins (Simon Says Stamp)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our last challenge of the year, too!

Inky hugs :)
