Christmas Cupcake

Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players. This week the wonderful and talented Laurie is our hostess with a theme challenge: Christmas Baking.

I have very little in the way of baking themed stamps, in fact, this cupcake set is just about it! My first thought was that cupcakes aren't very Christmas-y, but a Pinterest search for Christmas cupcakes proved me wrong. Wow, some of them are like little works of art! Anyway, I dressed my cupcake up in some Christmas paper and adorned it with holly leaves. My custom sentiment was created using three different stamp sets. Finally, a few pearls colored with a red Sharpie and some Wink of Stella on the frosting added a bit of shine.

I am also playing along with two other challenges today. I was inspired by the red plaid and white dish ware in the inspiration photo at Fusion, and at Addicted to CAS the Code Word is Sweets.

Stamp Sets: Cupcakes (Avery Elle), Joy to the Woods, Costume Party (Lawn Fawn), Christmas (Simon Says Stamp), Hand Lettered Holiday (W plus 9)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah)
Patterned Paper: Here Comes Santa (Doodlebug), Perfectly Plaid Christmas (Lawn Fawn)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Markers: Copic
Tools: Big Shot, Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies (My Favorite Things), Cupcakes Dies (Avery Elle), Joy to the Woods Dies (Lawn Fawn)
Accessories: Pearls (Stampin' Up), Wink of Stella

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

Inky hugs :)
