Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week the amazing Nance is our hostess with a color challenge: White on White. I love white on white cards and couldn't wait to get started on one!
Given the time of year and the inspiration photo, a Christmas card would have been the logical choice. However, I was inspired to use some silhouette dies that I purchased recently from Hobby Lobby. Did I mention there is a Hobby Lobby in my area now? I'm so excited! It's a 30 minute or so drive but prior to this I would have had to travel to a different state to get to the closest one. Anyway... I cut the image three times and stacked them up for some dimension. For some texture, the top layer is textured card stock. I also added a base layer of some recycled card stock which is just beautiful. It came in a kit and I had no idea what to do with it, but it worked perfectly for this project. I'm happy to say I don't need a sympathy card at the moment, but it never hurts to have one on hand.
Stamp Sets: Love and Sympathy (Stampin' Up)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), White Textured (Stampin' Up), Recycled Card Stock (Hero Arts)
Ink: Soft Granite (Hero Arts)
Tools: Big Shot, Pierced Rectangle Dies (My Favorite Things), Stacking Rectangle Dies (Hero Arts), Wildflower Dies (Tim Holtz)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!
Inky hugs :)
