Peace Joy Love, MM255

Yay, Merry Monday is back! I've been awful about making Christmas cards this year, only three of them so far to be exact, so this challenge is just what I need to get on the ball. This week Marcia would like us to create a card with the word "Joy" in it.

This left loads of options, and looking for further inspiration I went through all my Christmas stamp sets to see which ones have been neglected. I purchased this stamp set from a local scrapbook store which was going out of business about three years ago, and I am embarrassed to say this is the very first time I am inking it up. I don't know what I was waiting for because now I love it! The sentiments are just gorgeous.

I'm really pleased with the way this card came out. The gold shine of the embossing is so pretty IRL, and I was able to line things up perfectly thanks to my Mini Misti. Once the stamps are all lined up in the Misti, it's no trouble at all to make duplicates so I made four of these. And now my Christmas card stash is up to a whopping 7 cards, lol! Though I think I may have to keep one of these for myself, so let's call it 6. I am so bad that way :-) Sometimes I hate parting with my creations!

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Peace Joy Love (Lawn Fawn)
Card Stock: Cream (SSS), Brushed Gold (Stampin' Up)
Patterned Paper: Here Comes Santa (Doodlebug)
Ink Pads: Versamark, Lipstick Red (SSS)
Tools: Big Shot, Heat Tool, Stitched Rectangle Dies (Lawn Fawn)
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder (Hero Arts)

Thanks for stopping by, and I'd love it if you left a comment!

  2. What an inspiring post, Sandy! Your design is utterly gorgeous, but the impressive thing is that you disciplined yourself enough to make four of them! Go you!! And way to go using old NBUS, too!! Hugs, Darnell
