One Smart Kitty PP360

Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week the sweet and talented Claire is our hostess with a theme challenge: Back to School.

I don't really have much that is school related in my stamping stash, but I was quite delighted to find this free digital image online. So cute! I had lots of fun coloring it with my Prismacolor's, and I'm especially pleased with the way the cat came out. I think he deserves a little close-up :)

I'm not quite sure how I'll use this card yet, so I left it sentiment free and will add the appropriate sentiment inside when I'm ready. Honestly I couldn't really find a good spot for one, anyway. Do you feel you always need to put a sentiment on the front of your card? Sometimes I think they look better without.

I am also playing along with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker, and the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, which is School  or Study Related.

Products Used:
Card Stock: Solar White, Desert Storm (Neenah), Black (Simon Says Stamp)
Patterned Paper: Perfectly Plaid Christmas (Lawn Fawn)
Colored Pencils: Prismacolor
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Rectangle Dies (Lawn Fawn)
Accessories: Black Hemp Twine (Hemptique)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

Inky hugs :)

  4. Love this without a sentiment Sandy and I agree sometimes the sentiment can really ruin the card for me. Your coloring looks perfect! Hope you are enjoying your day!

  6. I so agree with you about putting sentiments on the front, especially if you aren't sure what you're going to use it for. Great little digi-image but I'm always a sucker for any book related stamp. So cute!

  7. I agree, Sandy! Sometimes I think cards look better without a sentiment. I always like to write a personal note inside my cards. I love your little kitty on that stack of books. Your coloring is fantastic! Hope you are having a great week! XX

  8. Such a cute kitty Sandy and beautifully coloured as always. I agree about sentiments - they're not always necessary on the front of a card and it's handy to have a few more generic cards in your stash.

  10. I totally agree...sometimes I leave sentiments off the front too. This adorable image doesn't need one. It's "purr-fectly" colored too! (Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun :)
