Happy Harvest

Hi friends! It's Sunday and that means time for a new challenge at The Paper Players. This week the wonderful and talented LeAnne is our hostess with a Clean-and-Simple challenge: Harvest. I love the inspiration photo and the white gourds!

I've been eyeing this digi stamp set from Power Poppy for a while now, and LeAnne's challenge enabled me to make the purchase. Thanks, LeAnne :-) I'm becoming very fond of Power Poppy images, they are so much fun to color and I just can't stop coloring these days. I laid down a light background of color to each image with my Copic markers, then went back in with colored pencils to do all the highlights. I wanted to keep the card CAS, so I added my patterned paper to the envelope.

I'm playing along for the first time at the Power & Spark Challenge, where the theme is coloring on Kraft paper. In my case it's Naturals Ivory which is pretty close to Kraft; I hope that will do! I'm also adding this to the gallery at 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker.

Products Used:

Digital Stamp Set: Fall Haul (Power Poppy)
Card Stock: Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso (Stampin' Up)
Markers: Copic
Pencils: Prismacolor
Pattered Paper: American Crafts

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment, and then head over to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

Inky hugs :)

Hi Sandy, As I scrolled down the The Paper Players blog post, I knew I could pick out your card. This is one of my faves for sure. Happy Sunday.

You are such a colouring queen! I didn't even know that you could mix pencils and copics (not that I have any copics). It looks so amazingly 3-D! It is a gorgeous image and I can see the temptation to buy it. This is just lovely - elegantly CAS.

I LOVE this design Sandy! It’s the sweetest image isn’t it? In fact I just coloured it up the other day for the first time. I love the tones you used and the lighter kraft colour as well. Thanks so much for joining us at Power Poppy this month!

I can see why you "had" to have this image, Sandy--it's lovely! Your soft coloring is beautiful and the rustic naturals paper is the perfect mate to the wooden wheelbarrow. A fabulous CAS card!
