Sailboat Birthday

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday!

This time around the "Toppings" options is "Red, White and You" (your choice of a third color). However, you also have the option to do an Anything Goes birthday card, the choice is yours. My choice was seasonal Red, White and Blue!

Recently I have been doing some experimenting with digital images. Sometimes I don't have just the stamp I want in my stash and don't have the time to order one, and I love the instant gratification of a digital stamp. This is one of the free ones I found, and I've shared the link below. I tried a few different coloring mediums, but I decided that I liked working with colored pencils the best, as the sharp points can get into the tiniest of spaces. I kept the rest of the card pretty simple as I wanted the focus on the sailboat. This birthday card is for my sailboat-loving big brother.

I'm also playing along with the challenge at Curtain Call which is Red, White, and Blue, and the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which is Red, White and Blue! Guess it's that time of year!

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Beautiful Lady (Altenew)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Island Indigo (Stampin' Up)

I'm so glad you paid me a visit today! If you have a moment please leave a comment, then visit the rest of the wonderful Design Team at Seize the Birthday. We'd love for you to play along, too!

Inky hugs :)

  2. This is incredible Sandy! I too love Colored pencil more than any other medium. I feel like I have better control. I have about a dozen Copics and they are being neglected. However, sometimes I use them as an under layer and used pencil over top. You clearly lost no mojo during your brief time off! HUGS!
