Graphic Thank You, PP354

Hello friends! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players. The wonderful Jaydee is our hostess this week with a simple sketch challenge. I love sketches that leave lots of room for interpretation.

This is what I came up with, a kind of graphic card, I think. It was not my original plan to do the flowers in black, but after cutting them in several other colors, I decided I like the contrast of the black against the assorted background patterns. The card base was sponged through a stencil, and the only thing stamped was the sentiment. A simple card to make, really, but it took me forever to make a decision on the flowers. I blame it on the Libra in me, we do not make decisions easily!

I'm also playing along with the Pin-Sights Challenge at Ellen Hutson, where I was inspired by the dots and stripes.

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: So Much to Say (Lawn Fawn)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Black (Simon Says Stamp)
Patterned Paper: Let's Polka (Lawn Fawn), Black and White Basics (My Favorite Things)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Soft Granite (Hero Arts)
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Rectangle Dies (Lawn Fawn), Bold Blossom Dies (Ellen Hutson), Grid Stencil (Simon Says Stamp)
Accessories: Silver Sequins (Stampin' Up)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please visit the rest of our Design Team at The Paper Players, and I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

Sandy, I LOVE the black flowers - they were the perfect choice with the pinks, grey and white. I love the soft sponged background with the DSP, too. Stunning card. Thanks for rocking my challenge this week

I agree--black is the perfect choice for these bold flowers. They are gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeous, that stenciled background is divine. Fabulous card, my friend! BTW, love your new photography setup too!

It's stunning; I love the bold black graphic look to your florals, and I guess I really need to get more on the stencilling bandwagon, as everyone seems to be embellishing their cards with lovely backgrounds! Yours is just perfect in its softness and subtlety!

Goodness, that softly stencilled background is glorious! It works so well with those bold black stylised flowers. I know just what you mean about trying out different colours. Sometimes what you had in your head just isn't what you end up doing!
