PP345: CAS Butterflies

Hello friends! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players. Our wonderful Nance is our hostess this week with a Clean and Simple challenge: Butterflies. I was very grateful for a Clean and Simple challenge this week because that is all I had time for!

I almost told my teammates that I would need to take the week off, but managed to whip up this card in a jiffy yesterday afternoon between work and a graduation party. This card will be for the generous host and hostess of the party, who put out quite a lavish spread. I did some simple stenciling for my background, stamped and die cut my butterflies, and that was pretty much it.

As I love anything in multiples of three, I was quite enamored with Hannelie's sketch at CASE this sketch this week. For the white strip along the left side, I faded out my stenciling. I hope that works well enough :)

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Painted Butterflies, Label Love (Altenew)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Bamboo, Parrot, Sea Glass (Altenew)
Tools: Big Shot, Painted Butterflies Dies (Altenew), Mosaic Stencil (Heidi Swapp)
Accessories: Enamel Dots (Echo Park)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please visit the rest of our Design Team at The Paper Players, and we hope you'll play along with our challenge this week, too!

  2. Happy, happy, joy, joy--this is so pretty Sandy. I can't believe you "whipped it up" that quickly. I would have struggled for hours coming up with the perfect "random" placement of those butterflies. LOL. Love the colors, love the faded stencilled background--love it all! So glad you found time to be crafty with this beauty!

  3. So beautiful Sandy and I agree with Nance - it looks like it took much longer than a quick 10 minutes!! The stencilled background detail is great and I love those colourful butterflies. Just perfect!

  4. Good Morning Sandy,
Very pretty card. I like the colors and LOVE the faded out stencil. Those butterflies are very whimsical, I like them more than realistic ones. Busy season ahead but all good stuff.
