Celebrate City Style

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday! There are no toppings this week, so it is Anything Goes Birthday. Easy peasy! I'm sure there is someome you need to make a birthday card for...

This is the card that I made for my son's recent birthday. He lives in NY City and loves music, so I thought this card would be perfect for him. He said he loved it!

I used some new goodies from Mama Elephant that have been on my wish list for ages, including the Cityscape die. I did some sponging for my sunset background which didn't come out great, but you get the idea.

Here's the inside of my card, just so you know it really is a birthday card!

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Good Times (Mama Elephant)
Card Stock: Black (Simon Says Stamp), Sahara Sand (Stampin' Up), Watercolor Card Stock (Strathmore)
Ink Pads: Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, Black Soot Distress Inks (Tim Holtz), Tuxedo Black (Memento), Versamark
Tools: Big Shot, Cityscape Die (Mama Elephant), 1" Circle Punch (Stampin' Up), Heat Tool
Accessories: White Embossing Powder (Simon Says Stamp)

I'm so glad you paid me a visit today! If you have a moment please leave a comment, then visit the rest of the wonderful Design Team at Seize the Birthday. We'd love for you to play along, too!

Inky hugs :)

The more I learn about you the more similarities we have! My son would love to live in NY and he adores music as well. In fact, he wanted to be a music teacher but decided to change paths part way through college... to make more money. I think/I know he regrets it to this day! LOVE your card! Super, super job! Have a great day!
