Hi everyone! Today I am excited to be a Guest Star Stamper at the Color Throwdown Challenge! This week is a fabulous color trio by Amy, and I was inspired right away, not only by the colors but by the black and white stripes in the inspiration photo.
I used my much neglected Bold Blossom dies to create a black and gold focal point. The leaves are a single layer, the blossoms three layers of black and then a layer of gold foil. I love layering up dies like that; they have a nice heavy feel like chipboard. The patterned papers were mixed up from three different stacks but I think they work together quite well.
For my layout, I was inspired by this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday. I added a couple layers; I hope they don't mind! I'm also playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is Bit of Green.
eta... How could I not add this to the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge?! A big thank you to @ellenhutsonllc for reposting my card on Instagram :)
