A Baby Bird for The Paper Players

Greetings! I hope you are all enjoying a nice weekend. Today at The Paper Players the sweet and talented Joanne is our hostess, and she has chosen a Baby theme for our Clean and Simple challenge. There will be so much cuteness in the gallery this week!

Though I have (ahem) quite a few stamp sets, I have to say that I do not own one a single one that is specifically baby themed. I do however have lots of others that can be used for a baby card, and in my opinion anything with a cute little critter will do. So for my card, I've decided that the stork has the flu this week and didn't want to spread his germs to a wee one, so instead has delivered this baby bird on a paper airplane!

I'm linking up to the Retro Rubber Challenge where Anything Goes, but we must use stamps older than one year. I used four different Lawn Fawn sets for my card and they are all over a year old, but I think the oldest is Gnome Sweet Gnome which I used for the baby bird. It's five years old, followed by Hello Sunshine which is three years old. I'm also playing along for the very first time at the TGIF Challenge, where the theme is Baby.

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Flying By, Hello Sunshine, So Much to Say, Gnome Sweet Gnome (Lawn Fawn)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah)
Patterned Paper: Pint Sized Patterns Beachside (Lawn Fawn)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Soft Pool, Tide Pool (Hero Arts)
Markers: Copic
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Flying By Dies (Lawn Fawn)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please visit the rest of our Design Team at The Paper Players, and we hope you'll play along with our Baby Challenge this week, too!

  1. I don't have many baby stamps either, but I love that you found something you could use instead...especially a little birdie! What a sweet idea! The background is cute too, very creative! I'll have to check out that TGIF challenge too!

  2. I don't have many baby stamps either, so I hear you! I smiled at the idea that the stork had the flu! You've created such a sweet image with the critter and the paper plane but I do really like the gorgeous sky you've made for them to glide in. Thanks so much for joining us at Retro Rubber for our Anything Goes challenge.

  8. Sandy, this card is absolutely brilliant as a baby card! Love the choice of colors, prints and images!! I am in a different boat... lots of baby stamp sets (because I cannot refuse their cuteness) with very little reason to use them. Thanks so much for sharing your card at Retro Rubber... hope to see you in our gallery again!!
