Beautiful Friend, PP327

Hi friends! This week at The Paper Players, it is my turn to be hostess. I have a simple color challenge for you: black, white and any one color. Lots of room for interpretation here, I hope you are inspired!

Though my first thought was to combine black and white with red or another Valentine color, I shifted gears entirely. I had this floral stem stamped up and waiting to be colored for quite a while, but decided I liked it the way it was, colorless. Instead, all the color was in my background, and I thought the white image stood out nicely against it.

I die cut the image, then stacked it up on three more layers of the same die cut in black. I took another piece of patterned paper from the same paper pad and lined the envelope with it.

I am also playing along with the Altenew January Inspiration Challenge. I was inspired by the white blossoms and the rich shade of yellow-gold. And of course my gorgeous Altenew stamps!

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Beautiful Lady (Altenew)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Summer Starfruit, Basic Black (Stampin' Up)
Patterned Paper: Harmony (Authentique)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Tools: Big Shot, Beautiful Lady Die (Altenew), Envelope Liner Die (Stampin' Up)
Accessories: Enamel Dots (Simple Stories)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please visit the rest of our Design Team at The Paper Players, and I hope you'll play along with my challenge this week, too!

Sandy, the yellow, black and white is such a classic combo - but the fact that you left your flower white is a genius choice. Beautiful.

This is one of those cards that blows me away Sandy - the decision to leave the flower colourless and use the patterned panel behind to add your colour is something I would never think of - I love it!
