Glistening Snow, PP324

Hi friends! We are winding down to the last couple challenges of the year at The Paper Players. This week our fearless and amazing leader Nance is hostess, and she has a simple theme challenge for us: Snowflakes. Love that cool challenge badge!

I've been trying to pay more attention to my backgrounds lately, and had lots of fun creating this one. I just wish I was a better photographer and got a better picture of it as it is much more sparkly IRL. First I sponged the background with several different ink colors. Then I sprayed it with Perfect Pearls. Last, I used a stencil and embossing paste to create my snowflakes, and while the embossing paste was still wet I sprinkled it with glitter. Once that was dry I layered on my die cut scene all in white.

I thought I'd share a boo-boo, too. I took so many picture of this card trying to capture the shine, and paid no notice to the fact that a couple of my windows were laying on the snowy hillside. There must have been a good party at that house!

I'm also playing along with the Anything Goes challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
