Hi everyone! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players. This week Joanne is our wonderful hostess and she has a color challenge for us to play along with. I love these traditional Christmas colors, but making a Christmas card is totally optional.
That said, I'm totally in Christmas card mode now! I made my card with stamps and ink from Hero Arts. I've been trying out some different inks lately and I think the Hero inks are my favorite. The pads are nice and juicy (but not too juicy) and the coverage is great, although I did stamp my leaves twice using the Misti for some extra rich color.
I'm playing along with two other Christmas themed challenges today: the Holiday Cardmaking Challenge at Hero Arts, and the Twine challenge at the Merry Christmas Challenge. I love that they post their challenges way in advance so you have plenty of time to plan ahead.
Stamp Sets: Holiday Pine Branches (Hero Arts)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Schoolhouse Red (Simon Says Stamp), Crumb Cake (Stampin' Up)
Ink Pads:Mint Julep, Emerald Green, Red Royal (Hero Arts)
Tools: Big Shot, Holiday Pine Branches Dies (Hero Arts), Hand Lettered Holiday Dies (W plus 9), Scallops Stencil (Heidi Swapp), Stencil Brush (Clarity)
Accessories: Baker's Twine (recycled from a gift)
Thanks for stopping by! I'd love if you left a comment, then head over to The Paper Players to see more inspiration using the challenge colors!
Inky hugs :)
