Hi everyone! Wow the weather has cooled off quite a bit here in the Northeast, and although I love Autumn, I'm not quite ready for such an abrupt change of temperature. I am looking forward to going apple picking next week and hopefully will get a pleasant day. Today at Stamp Ink Paper, Justin has a lovely Autumnal color combination for us. I love the unexpected splash of Mint.
Though my first inclination was to make a card with leaves, I shifted gears and made a fall bouquet of blooms. I stamped my images in Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then, I watercolored using distress inks. I love watercoloring, it's so relaxing. I also love that you can remove color with some clear water, something you can't do with any other coloring medium.
I'm also playing along with The Flower Challenge again today. In case you haven't noticed I love flowers :) They are some fabulous cards in the gallery there, too. At the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, the theme is Autumn.
