Bespectacled, PP308 & CTS185

Hi everyone! Yikes, it is hot here in New York. It's supposed to hit 97 degrees F with a heat index of about 110. Honestly it's not the heat but the humidity that has made it so uncomfortable. My plans are to head into Manhattan and stay cool inside the Metroplitan Museum of Art. I haven't been there in ages and I can't wait! Oldest son and his girlfriend will be joining me :)

Today at The Paper Players, the fabulous Claire is our hostess and she has chosen a school inspired color scheme, though the school theme is optional.

I wanted to stay with the school theme but a little more on the grown-up side, and this is what I came up with. I used my Misti to line up the eyeglasses, and used the colors in very small doses. My favorite part is the little rhinestone flowers on the red glasses.

My layout inspiration came from this week's challenge at CAS(E) this sketch!

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: I See You (Simon Says Stamp), Amazing Women (Essentials by Ellen)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight (Stampin' Up)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Real Red (Stampin' Up)
Tools: Big Shot, I See You Dies (Simon Says Stamp)
Accessories: Hero Hues Gems (Hero Arts)

Thanks for paying me a visit today! Next, please visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players, and we hope you'll play along this week, too!

Inky hugs :)

Very clever way to use that sketch. It looks awesome as do those glasses. Love the flower embellishment. Gives them a retro look. Super cute card!

That sketch has had me totally stumped this week - you did a grand job of combining it with this week's colours Sandy! I love the clean and graphic lines of your card - and the cute flowers on the red specs!

Love it. I NEVER use this set - but you have inspired me to take it out and do something with it. I love the way your incorporated the colors into the frame. Fabulous card.
