Watercolored Pansies, PP304

Hi friends! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge from The Paper Players! This week the fabulous Jaydee is hostess, and she has a fun challenge: Use watercolors on your CAS creation.

I originally made this card for Nance's color challenge last week, but when it was done I thought it would work better for Jaydee's challenge. I used ink on the lids of my ink pads with some water and a paintbrush to color my flowers, and after they dried I added a bit more ink in the same colors for added depth. When that was dry I used a larger brush to create my background. Thankfully I don't need this card just yet but it never hurts to have a sympathy card on hand.

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Pansy (Technique Tuesday)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Watercolor Paper (Tim Holtz)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Mint Macaron, Island Indigo, Perfect Plum (Stampin' Up)
Tools: Paintbrushes (Tim Holtz)
Accessories: Linen Thread (Stampin' Up)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Next please visit the rest of our wonderful Design Team at The Paper Players, and we hope you'll play along, too!

  3. Hi Sandy, I love the textured watercolor paper by Tim Holtz. It makes the card come to life. I checked out The Daily Marker all week and maybe today I'll try a TINY bit of coloring.
