Red Birthday Blooms, CTD400 & FMS244

Hi there friends! Yesterday it was sooo hot in New York, a good day to stay in air conditioned spaces. I was busy with chores most of the day, but found a little crafty time in the afternoon. I've been playing with my beloved Copic markers again. Although I love other coloring mediums, Copics have become my hands-down favorite. I love how you can color layer after layer without damaging the card stock. I'm certainly no expert but I am having fun learning :)

I'm playing along with three challenges today: The colors at Color Throwdown (resisted the urge to make a Christmas card), the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches (rotated it 90 degrees), and the 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker.

Just a word about the 30 Day Coloring Challenge... They had a blog hop yesterday and one of the stops on the hop was the amazing Amy Tangerine. She had a great video and talked about how meditative and therapeutic coloring can be and I totally agree. I however, being the multi-tasker that I am, wound up coloring my image over the course of a 1-1/2 hour phone call to Verizon customer service, the most recent of eight phone calls over the last few months. Hello? Not relaxing!!! Maybe the coloring is what got me through the call! Next time I sit down to color I will be sure to schedule some "me" time.
