Butterflies For You, PP303

Hi friends! Today our magnificent and fearless leader Nance is hostess at The Paper Players, and she has a lovely jewel tone color combo for us. I actually made two cards using these colors and you'll see the other one next week.

For today's card, I did my best to match the colors to my Copic markers and Distress Inks, though my colors are a little more vibrant. I've seen so many pretty watercolor wash backgrounds and thought I would give the technique a try. A couple of You Tube videos later, this is what I came up with. I think I like it :)

I'm also playing along with the challenge at Seize the Birthday, which is Bees, Birds & Butterflies, and the 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker.

Here is my birthday sentiment on the inside.

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Flutter By, Love You A Latte (Lawn Fawn)
Inside: Flying By, Happy Everything (Lawn Fawn)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Watercolor Paper (Tim Holtz)
Ink Pads: Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserve, Evergreen Bough Distress Inks (Tim Holtz), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Markers: Copic
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Rectangle & Stitched Oval Dies, Flutter By Dies (Lawn Fawn), Paintbrushes (Tim Holtz)

Sandy, another stunner. Your watercolor background is beautifully done and I love the inside as much as the outside. Gorgeous

Wow what a gorgeous watercolour background Sandy. Your butterflies stamped in black and coloured add a real pop of each of the three colours against the white - I love this card!!

Your watercolor wash background is fabulous, Sandy! An amazing job blending and joining the colors and how they pop on the butterfly trio. Love the added sparkle from the sequins too--just gorgeous!
