Columbine, SIP52 Anniversary Celebration

Greetings, friends! Today is a special day as it is the one year anniversary of the Stamp Ink Paper challenge. We hope you'll join in our celebration, and there will also be blog candy. Head over to the Stamp Ink Paper challenge blog for all the details. Our challenge this week is "Cardmaker's Choice", basically anything goes.

Without a doubt my favorite images are florals, so what kind of image to use was a no-brainer. I've also been trying to learn to use my Prismacolor colored pencils a little better and this was my first experiment with no-line coloring. I stamped the image in a very pale color, Memento Desert Sand, and then colored over the lines and filled it in with my colored pencils. I thought it came out OK for my first attempt. I kept the rest of the card simple as I wanted the floral image to take center stage.

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Columbine, You Did It (Technique Tuesday)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Smoke, Fog (Simon Says Stamp)
Ink Pads: Desert Sand, Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Colored Pencils: Prismacolor
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Rectangle Dies (Lawn Fawn)
Accessories: Moonshine Sequins (Simon Says Stamp)

I thought I'd share one of my practice pieces also, colored from the 'A Million Cats' coloring book I received for Mother's Day.

To thank you we are going to have three giveaways. All you have to do is enter a card in this week’s challenge. You have until Sunday evening at 8:00pm on June 19th to enter your project. Winners announced on Monday, June 20th! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Next on the hop is the fabulous Ginger Pelfrey.

Have a terrific Tuesday!
