Feel Better Sunflowers, PP282

Hi, Stampers! I've just returned from ten days in Florida, and I have to tell you I am not happy to be back! Though it was unseasonably cool in Florida, it was still better than the bone chilling zero degrees we are hitting this weekend in New York. Someday I hope to be a snowbird... In the meantime, I shall hibernate in my craft room as much as possible!

This week at The Paper Players, the talented Laurie has an awesome color combo for us, which made me immediately think of warm weather sunflowers!

I used a brand new-to-me stamp set and dies from Lawn Fawn, called Our Friendship Grows. This set has been on my wish list forever. I added some neutral browns to the color combo, and an itty bit of green for the leaves. I hope Laurie doesn't mind!

Nothing too complicated here, just lots of coloring with my Copic markers. I was particularly happy with the way my clay pot came out, which took a bit of practice.

I am playing along once again with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker.

My daughter hears me talking about Lawn Fawn occasionally and has seen the logo, and one day presented me with a cute little Lego fawn. Doesn't he look just like the fawn in the logo? I love it :)
