Happy 40th Birthday, PP276

Hi stampers, and Happy 2016! I hope you all enjoyed your holidays. For our first challenge of the year at The Paper Players, the awesome Joanne is our hostess and she has chosen a theme: All About Numbers. What a great challenge! I love making age specific birthday cards, and have an entire Pinterest board devoted to it. I just hope nobody gives an age specific card to me, lol!

I made this card for my niece's birthday which was back in December, but was saving to blog for Joanne's challenge. I used a whole bunch of retired Stampin' Up products, and three different stamp sets to make my custom sentiment.

As this is a birthday card, I'm going to enter this in the Anything Goes challenge at Seize the Birthday.

Products Used: (All Stampin' Up)
Stamp Sets: Skinny Mini Alphabet, Designer Typeset Alphabet, Endless Birthday Wishes, Painted Petals
Card Stock: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Patterned Paper: Regals Stack
Ink Pads: Elegant Egglant, Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzazz
Tools: Sponge Dauber
Accessories: Velvet Ribbon from Artisan Embellishment Kit

Thanks so much for visting, and please visit the rest of the team including three brand new Guest Designers at The Paper Players! We hope you'll play along, too!

  5. Happy New Year, Sandy! A beautiful 40th birthday card. I really like the Kraft and Purple card stocks together. I'll have to remember how good they look. I have this retired set somewhere, too. I love to see the old SU sets brought back to life.

  7. Your post made me smile Sandy - I'm not sure I would want to receive a number card now I'm the 'wrong' side of 40 either! I would love to be 40 and receive your card though - purple is my favourite colour and those flowers are one of my favourite stamp sets of all time. The perfect accompaniment to your number banner. Great job and happy new year wishes to you!
