Hi friends! It's a special day today as my friends at Fusion are celebrating their Second Anniversary! I was quite honored to have been invited to be a guest designer for their celebration. If you would like to play along, you can be inspired by either the inspiration photo or the sketch. I loved the florals in the inspiration photo, particularly the bouquet of rose colored blooms in the forefront.
I've inked up a new stamp set for the first time, Roses For You from Simon Says Stamp. It's a great stamp set with so many options. It's perfect for a Valentines Day card, but once I had my bouquet together I thought I would cheer someone up with a Get Well card. The "bug" is going around big time here in NY. My hubby, MIL, niece, nephew, a few friends.. all have nasty colds, and the list goes on. The cough and cold isle in my local pharmacy is wiped out! Thankfully I've been spared so far, though I'm scared, lol!
Just a few deets: I die cut the main panel with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies, then did a bit of sponging and spritzing with Distress Inks. The images were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copics, then cut with the matching dies. A little linen thread bow and a few sequins finish things off. This year I'm pretty determined to complete my cards with matching envies and insides, which I accomplished today!
