Fusion 2nd Anniversary Celebration!

Hi friends! It's a special day today as my friends at Fusion are celebrating their Second Anniversary! I was quite honored to have been invited to be a guest designer for their celebration. If you would  like to play along, you can be inspired by either the inspiration photo or the sketch. I loved the florals in the inspiration photo, particularly the bouquet of rose colored blooms in the forefront.

I've inked up a new stamp set for the first time, Roses For You from Simon Says Stamp. It's a great stamp set with so many options. It's perfect for a Valentines Day card, but once I had my bouquet together I thought I would cheer someone up with a Get Well card. The "bug" is going around big time here in NY. My hubby, MIL, niece, nephew, a few friends.. all have nasty colds, and the list goes on. The cough and cold isle in my local pharmacy is wiped out! Thankfully I've been spared so far, though I'm scared, lol!

Just a few deets: I die cut the main panel with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies, then did a bit of sponging and spritzing with Distress Inks. The images were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copics, then cut with the matching dies. A little linen thread bow and a few sequins finish things off. This year I'm pretty determined to complete my cards with matching envies and insides, which I accomplished today!

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Roses For You (Simon Says Stamp), April Showers (Clearly Besotted)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah)
Patterned Paper: Sunny Days Ahead (Echo Park)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Tumbled Glass Distress Ink (Tim Holtz)
Markers: Copic
Tools: Big Shot, Color Spritzer, Stitched Rectangle Dies (Lawn Fawn), Roses For You Dies (Simon Says Stamp)
Accessories: Linen Thread (SU), Moonshine Sequins (Simon Says Stamp)

Please visit the awesome Design Team at Fusion, and play along with their Anniversary Challenge, too!

Inky hugs!

Adorable design Sandy. Love the colouring of your flowers and they really stand out being popped up over your pretty blue background.

I'm with you about finishing the inside of cards this year. I always leave it and then regret it later. Matching envelopes is such a great idea too.

Congrats on being GD for Fusion's 2nd birthday celebration.

Beautiful card, Sandy! How clever to take just a portion of the photo as your inspiration as it worked out beautifully! Here's hoping you stay healthy.

Sweet card, Sandie! Love the background in blue, the DSP and the peeks of sequins. You're so right, this set is versatile and made a great get well card! Who doesn't want to get flowers in their mailbox when they don't feel well? :)

Congrats to your guest design spot. You've created such a pretty get well card for the challenge! I love all the fresh colors and the pretty flowers in the back. And I'm always impressed when I see a matching envelope to a card. My envelopes are never pretty, I have to confess.
