TGIF, my friends! I hope you all have something fun planned for the weekend. Since we had over two feet of snow last weekend, pretty much anything that happens will be an improvement! Actually it is supposed to be pretty mild, so hopefully some of that piled up snow will melt away. We have some fun things planned for my DD's birthday, details and photos to follow!
I have a simple card today inspired by a couple of challenges, no stamps required!
I was excited when I saw the layout this week at Freshly Made Sketches by Karren, who wants our sentiment to be the focal point. I happened to have a brand new large sentiment die that I have never used before and thought was perfect. I recently won it (along with some other goodies) from the amazing Kathy Racoosin at The Daily Marker. As I'm using some Simon products, I thought I'd play along with Anything Goes at the Wednesday Challenge blog.
I die cut my sentiment three times and stacked them up for some dimension using spray adhesive. Then, I inked it up with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder, a little trick my friend Justin uses all the time. I love how it gives the sentiment some super glossy shine. The heat tool caused the layers to separate so I had to adhere them back together again, but no big deal. I'll just reverse the process next time.
