Thinking of You, SIP17

Good morning and a happy Tuesday to you, my inky friends! We've arrived at week #17 at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge, and this week it's a theme challenge: Floral. My favorite!

I took my cues from the colors in the inspiration photo and colored my floral image in shades of pink and purple. The stamp set is Thinking of You from Clearly Besotted, and I beleive it is an image of a Phalaenopsis orchid, one of the most beautiful of all flowers. There are varieties in nearly any color, too. (Scroll down for some orchid photos.)

I'm also entering this card in to Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker.

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Thinking of You (Clearly Besotted)
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss (SU), Watercolor Card Stock (Tim Holtz)
Ink Pads: Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Stormy Sky, Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn, Spun Sugar Distress Inks (Tim Holtz),  Versamark
Tools: Big Shot, Heat Tool, Thanks Die (Simon Says Stamp), Paintbrushes (Tim Holtz)
Accessories: White Embossing Powder (Simon Says Stamp), Rhinestones (SU)

And now, for the promised orchid pictures, taken in the Orchid House at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay earlier this year...

I hope you enjoyed a little trip to the Orchid House! Now please head over to Stamp, Ink, Paper to check out the creations of the rest of our team, and hopefully to play along too!

Inky hugs!
