Simple Sympathy, PP267

Hello friends! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week our fearless and fabulous leader Nance has a CAS challenge for us: Leaves. Florals are my absolute favorite subject for card making, but leaves and trees follow at a very close second. Anything to do with nature is right up my alley, and I think the options for this challenge are limitless.

I went through my collection of leaf stamps, and settled on this retired beauty from Stampin' Up, Magnificent Maple. It's quite a stunning image when heat embossed with black embossing powder. I added a bit of color by sponging over the embossed image with some Delightful Dijon ink. I wasn't so sure about this color but I must say it's growing on me :)

  10. Oh my, Sandy....this is gorgeous. Everything about it is calm and peaceful. I literally stopped and "Oooooh" when I opened it. All the white space is serene and the colors are beautiful but it's the sponging over the embossed leaf that makes it a show stopper! Beautiful card for the challenge, my friend!
