Faith in Nature, PP262

Hi there, friends! This week at The Paper Players, Joanne is hostess with the mostess and she has a lovely color combo for us: Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon, and So Saffron. I really enjoyed working with this trio.

I pulled out some vintage stamp sets for this one. I thought the colors would look nice on the pear from Faith in Nature, and the flourishes on the Crumb Cake panel are from Elements of Style. I sell off a lot of my retired stamp sets but I've never been able to part with these two. I stamped the pear and sentiment in black Stazon and used sponge daubers to do my coloring.

That's it, just a quick post today! Please play along with Joanne's color challenge at The Paper Players, and visit the rest of the Design Team, too!

  2. Sandy your card is gorgeous!! I've always loved the 'Faith in Nature' set and it's not one I own. The shading and colouring on the pear is so realistic and with the stamping on the Crumb Cake panel and the background embossing, this card is so perfectly balanced. Way to go with this week's colours!

  9. This is such a beautiful card, Sandy! I absolutely love the way you coloured the pear with sponge daubers -- it has such a nice, soft look to it, almost as though you coloured it with chalks! Your tone-on-tone stamping on the Crumb Cake panel looks great, too -- it adds interest but still lets the pear shine! :o)
