Greetings, Stampers! I'd like to say todays card came together in a flash, but this was actually my third try at it. Though the first two wound up in the trash, I'm pretty happy with the way this one came out. I'm not the best watercolorer (is that a word?), but I was inspired by a beautiful creation by the amazing Kimberly Wiener and I tried to emulate her style.
Challenges galore! I'm playing with four of them today. The amazing layout is from CAS(E) This Sketch. It's Anything Goes at Seize the Birthday. The Classroom at Ellen Hutson wants us to mix it up using Essentials by Ellen and Altenew products. Finally, the 30 Day Coloring Challenge is to color something every day.
To make my card, I first heat embossed the floral images with white embossing powder. I put some Distress Ink on a clear block, and used a paint brush and water to color my images and background, going darker in the flower centers. Then I cut a rectangle out of the center with a Lawn Fawn die. I lined it with black card stock and popped the panel up with some foam tape.
