Such a Sweetie, PP250

Happy Sunday, Friends! Today at The Paper Players the wonderful and talented Claire is hostess. She has chosen Summer Treats for this Clean and Simple challenge. Fun!

I love ice cream, but I had a healthier treat in mind. Nothing screams summer more to me than the sight of bing cherries in the supermarket. What a delicious treat! I used my brand new stamp set called You're So Sweet from Simon Says Stamp and coordinating dies. The patterned paper is from the SSS May Card Kit.

I am playing along with two other challenges today. The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is to use your favorite product or technique, and for me that would be coloring with my ever growing collection of Copic markers. Also the 30 Day Coloring Challenge wants us to color somthing every day.

I love the way these cherries came out! I stamped them in Memento ink, colored with Copic markers and then die cut them. Then I added a liberal dose of Wink of Stella. After that I covered them with two coats of Glossy Accents, allowing them to dry between each coat. They are so sparkly and shiny IRL. Thanks to Debbie Hughes for the tip of using the two products together.

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: You're So Sweet (SSS)
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Crumb Cake (SU), Xpress It Blending Cardstock (Copic)
Patterned Paper: Sunkissed (Doodlebug)
Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Markers: Copic (see colors below)
Tools: Big Shot, Sweet Fruit Dies (SSS)
Accessories: Wink of Stella (Zig), Glossy Accents (Ranger)

I hope you enjoyed my CAS creation. Please visit the rest of the team at The Paper Players, and we hope you'll play along too!

Have an awesome day!

  3. Love your decision to go with cherries, first of all, since I am living in one of the cherry capitals! They are the sign that summer is here in Michigan. I love how you sparkled then used the Glossy Accents. Great card!!
