Hi friends, and a Happy Monday to you! It's an especially Happy Monday for me, as I have been invited to be a Guest Designer at Merry Monday! I'm quite honored to be in the midst of this awesome Design Team, and I love playing along with their challenges. Deanne is hostess this week and the challenge she has chosen is to create a Christmas card using a stencil. Fun!
You can use the negative of a die cut, as shown in the challenge badge, but I have fairly new stencil from Simon that I wanted to use. I used Modeling Paste instead of ink, which adds some nice texture. The rest of the card is pretty self-explanatory if you read my supply list, below. Oh, and no stamps or ink were used here, I let the stencil and dies do all the work. No inky fingers today!
For my layout, I chose this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and rotated it 90 degrees.
Stamps and Ink: None
Card Stock: Solar White (Neenah), Soft Sky, Island Indigo, White Vellum (SU)
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Rectangle Dies (Lawn Fawn), Fun Flakes Dies, Falling Snow Stencil (SSS), Hand Lettered Holiday Dies (W plus 9)
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (SU), Moonshine Sequins (SSS), Modeling Paste (Liquitex)
Thanks for paying me a visit today, and please visit the rockin' team at Merry Monday! Even better, get a head start on your Christmas cards and play along!
