Just Because Bold Blooms

Greetings friends, and Happy April Fool's Day! Don't worry, I won't be playing any tricks on you today! It's the first Wednesday of the month and that means it is time for a monochromatic challenge at Colour Me! Today we are featuring the lovely Soft Sky.

I thought this pale color would like nice as a sponged background, and the black floral silhouettes provide some nice contrast. I love the way the sentiment works with them, even more so that I got this stamp set off the Technique Tuesday clearance rack for only $2!

I'm also playing along with a few other challenges. The challenge at Less is More this week is a fun one, to combine any three of their previous challenges. I chose Week 42 "Silhouette", Week 76 "Three", and Week 163 "Masking/ Stenciling". I just hope my card is clean and simple enough! The Challenge is celebrating their one year anniversary with an Anything Goes challenge. Finally, the Monday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp is "Pastel".

Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Bold Blooms (Essentials by Ellen), You Did It (Technique Tuesday)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Soft Sky (SU)
Ink Pads: Soft Sky (SU), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Tools: Sponge Dauber (SU), Square Lattice Stencil (Heidi Swapp)
Accessories: Jack & Jill Enamel Dots (Echo Park)

Have an awesome day!

This card is stunning! I really love how the images pop out against that gorgeous soft background and I'm in awe of your bargain shopping skills! I don't think $2 has ever looked better! I also was so impressed at how skillfully you blended the background image into the scene- I adore how it sort of fades out at the edges but is more defined right around the stems. You did an incredible job and I'm so glad you shared this stunner with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
