Greetings on this lovely Friday, Stampers! Here in my part of the world the sun has been shining for the last few days, it's warmed up a bit, and little by little the mountains of snow have been melting. I must admit I did not enjoy the last couple of winter months and the weather caused me all sorts of problems. I'm yearning to take my toes out of my boots and wiggle them in the sunshine, LOL! So what am I doing making a card with snowflakes on it? Hmm?
The answer is simple. I've been inspired by a few challenges, some new toys, and assorted things that sparkle! Today I'm playing along with three challenges: the monochromatic blue challenge at Merry Monday, the sketch at Mojo Monday, and the "Things that start with B" challenge at Simon Says Stamp, in my case: Blue!
I'm playing with a couple new products from Simon for the first time today, including these beautiful snowflake dies (a gift from my pal Justin, thanks and hugs!) and the Falling Snow Stencil, which I used with modeling paste. I cut the snowflakes from three different specialty papers, White Vellum, Silver Foil and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. The Glimmer Paper was a real chore to cut with these delicate dies and I won't try it again, but after I invested 30 minutes poking, peeling and snipping I was determined to use that snowflake! It's super sparkly in real life, too!
