Greetings, Happy Wednesday, and welcome to a new challenge at Colour Me! This week the team has a subtle combination of Marina Mist, Sahara Sand and So Saffron. I love the Asian influence of the inspiration photo, and I'm only sad that I didn't have any stamps to capture the feeling.
What I did use was a number of products from Lawn Fawn, including the Flutter By and Happy Everything Stamp Sets. Both are so versatile and I'm happy I have them in my collection. I didn't capture the Sahara Sand element of this challenge as much as I would have liked to, though. I originally planned on making the leaves that color, which I did, but they looked like they fell off a dead tree! I had to settle for a hemp twine bow in that color; I hope the team is OK with that!
I'm playing along with a few other challenges today. The inspiration for my layout came from CAS(E) this Sketch. The theme challenge at Simon Says Stamps is "Spring Pinterest Inspiration". I'm also following the 30 day coloring challenge at The Daily Marker. What amazing galleries on all three blogs! If you have the time, I encourage you to check them all out.
I am new to coloring with Copic markers, so please forgive my beginner attempts. I am having a bunch of fun with them, though. My local craft store had a sale on them this week, and I am coloring with the yellow collection for the first time. Love! I can see this Copic collecting easily becoming another crafty addiction!
