Good Sunday morning, friends! Today Anne Marie has a wonderful color challenge for us at The Paper Players. Initially I couldn't envision how these four colors would work together, but once I pulled out my ink pads and started playing, I fell in love with this combo.
This is such a soft, sweet combo and I softened it up even more by stamping on Very Vanilla card stock, a color that seems quite neglected these days. I used my also neglected Butterfly Basics stamp set and coordinating Butterfly Framelits. I love these images stamped up collage style.
The inspiration for my layout came from this week's challenge at CAS(E) this sketch.
I wanted to make this card a bit vintage, so I sponged and spritzed the Vanilla card stock with Crumb Cake, and distressed the Crumb Cake layer with a distressing tool. The larger butterfly has four layers. The largest is stamped and die cut, the middle layer punched from Vellum, a tiny flower also puched, and topped with a pearl.
