A Trio of Cupcakes

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! The wonderful LeAnne is hostess this week, and she has an awesome sketch for us. I had so many ideas of what to use to fill in the long rectangular space, but finally settled on a row of cupcakes!

I don't have the newest SU cupcake stamp set yet, so instead I used the retired Create a Cupcake set. It's so cute; I can't part with it! The coordinating Cupcake Builder Punch made easy work of assembling my cupcakes.

My other sources of inspiration are the cupcake theme challenge at The Card Concept, and the color challenge at Color Throwdown. Now there are three colors I never would have thought of combining on my own, but balanced out with plenty of white I love them together!

Products Used (All SU)
Stamp Sets: Create a Cupcake, Pennant Parade
Card Stock: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Tangerine Tango, Elegant Eggplant
Ink Pads: Strawberry Slush, Tangerine Tango, Elegant Eggplant
Punches: Cupcake Builder, Itty Bitty Accents, 1" Circle, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle
Accessories: Rhinestones

Please play along with LeAnne's sketch this week at The Paper Players! But before you get ready to get inky, pay a visit to the rest of the wonderful Design Team!

  15. What a colourful trio of cupcakes Sandy - love them! I'll let you into a little secret - I sold my retired cupcake stamp set and replaced it with the new one, but wish I hadn't - I think the old one is nicer. A word from the wise - don't do it!!

  19. Now this is one fine example of a 'sweet', clean and layered card! The colors rock (I never would have thought of this combo either!) . I love all the white space and adore the three wee banners, which add the perfect little touch! Thanks so much for choosing to share your card with us at CCC :)
