Me & You Valentine, PP231 & MOJO383

Hi, Stampers! It's Sunday and time for another challenge from The Paper Players. This week the amazing Nance Leedy is hostess with the mostess, and she has a great color challenge for us to play along with: Calypso Coral, Real Red and Basic Black.

By the way, a few of you have asked about my kitten Oliver, so scroll all the way down to the end if you'd like to see some photos!

I originally had something floral in mind, more in keeping with the inspiration photo, but my card just kind of morphed in to this more graphic version. Funny how that happens sometimes... All of the challenge colors happened to be in my stack of Packed with Love paper, and I started from there.

I chose the sketch challenge from Mojo Monday for my layout.

That cool panel of embossed hearts was made with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder, and the sentiment was heat embossed and is from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set. The tiny hearts were made with the Confetti Hearts Punch.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Perfect Penants
Card Stock: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black
Designer Series Paper: Stacked with Love
Ink Pads: Versamark
Tools: Big Shot, Heat Tool, Happy Heart Embossing Folder, Confetti Hearts Punch
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Rhinestones

Now for some promised pic's of Ollie... He's gotten so big! He was only 10 weeks old when he came to us, but now Oliver is six months old and weighs seven pounds. Little by little he is becoming more social. He loves his kitty condo which he got for Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas, the tree was kind of challenging this year. Of course he wanted to climb it, so we had to keep a spray bottle of water handy to keep him out!

Ollie likes to play video games...

... watch Cat TV on You Tube...

... and just be cute! He's become part of the family now and makes us smile every day :)

We hope you'll play along with us this week at The Paper Players! Please visit the rest of the Design Team too, and show them some inky love!

  9. I already loved your card but the kitty photos distracted me from my original comment. Ha! Oliver and Sophie could be BFF"s. They are about the same age. He looks like he keeps you on your toes. Gotta love those kittens. Your card is awesome! The layers, the mix of patterns and those fabulous banners. So, SO cute!

  15. I'm late with my comments on this one Sandy - apologies! I love this card - the white heart embossed panel is so striking. A great take on the Mojo sketch - I think I like it more that mine lol!! Funny how we both used the same sketch and colours, yet came up with two completely different cards - great inspiration.
