Perfect Plum Herb Expressions, CMCC53

Hi, Stampers! I am very exited and proud to say that I was invited to be a Guest Designer for the next six months at the Colour Me challenge! Today is the first challenge of the year, and it is a monochromatic challenge using the color Perfect Plum. I don't use this color nearly often enough and I was happy to dust it off.

I combined Perfect Plum with the neutrals Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. Thyme blossoms are shades of purple, so I decided to pull out a stamp set I hadn't used in ages, Herb Expressions.

The background was stamped in Sahara Sand with the Dictionary Background Stamp. The image and sentiment were stamped in Black Stazon, and colored in with ink pads and a Blender Pen. I used a Distressing Tool to add texture to the Sahara Sand layers.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Herb Expressions, Dictionary Background Stamp
Card Stock: Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla
Ink Pads: Black Stazon, Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand
Designer Series Paper: Regals Stack
Tools: Distressing Tool, Blender Pens
Accessories: Elegant Egplant Grosgrain Ribbon, Regals Candy Dots

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team at Colour Me!

Gorgeous, Sandy! I have to admit that purple shades are sadly neglected in my stamp room too!

Great card, Sandy! I really like the small details, like the distressed edges on the front panel and candy dot.
