A Beautiful Season for The Paper Players

Hi Stampers! Wow, has it really been a week since I last posted? I've been busy as a bee since Thanksgiving. I'm happy to say that all my Christmas decorations are up, my cards completed and mailed, and I've even started some shopping. On top of that, I had the pleasure of attending the Stampin' Up Catalog Reveal Event a few days ago. New products coming soon, woo hoo!

Today is the last Paper Players Challenge of the year, and the fabulous Nance Leedy is hostess. She's selected a "Black Tie" theme challenge to make holiday projects that are "fancy".

"Fancy" can be interpreted in a lot of ways, but I had an elegant image in my head with gold foil and embossing. Actually, I woke up with that image in my head one morning, LOL! Does anyone else stamp in their sleep?!

I had an idea of what I wanted to make, and squealed when I saw the colors at Color Throwdown. So perfect. I love the bird challenge at Merry Monday, also perfect. Wheels turning now...

The bird image was heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I added plenty of sparkle and shine with Silver Glimmer Paper, a Silver Glimmer Brad, and Gold Foil.

I stamped the same image on the inside of the card in Crumb Cake with the sentiment over it in Early Espresso. My fancy card needed a fancy envelope, so I lined it with matching designer paper.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Beautiful Season
Card Stock: Whisper White, Early Espresso
Designer Series Paper: Candlelight Christmas
Ink Pads: Versamark, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Tools: Big Shot, Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Envelope Liner Framelits, Heat Tool
Accessories: Early Espresso Seam Binding, Silver Glimmer Paper, Silver Glimmer Brad, Gold Foil Specialty Paper, Gold Embossing Powder

Please visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players and see their fancy creations! We'd be so happy if you played along with our last challenge of the year, too!
