We Have A New Friend!

Some of you may remember that over the summer, we lost our beloved furry friend, Oreo. We let him out after dinner to do his business and he was never seen again. We searched furiously for him for weeks & months. The other day I was "talking" to Oreo and I asked him to send me a sign if he was still alive. That day my friend Sue started texting me pictures of this little cat that her sister found in her back yard a week ago. Though she loved him, she knew she couldn't keep him because of her two dogs. Oreo was a rescued kitty and I think he wanted us to adopt this little guy.

He's only about 10 weeks old. We are pretty sure he's a male, but a visit to the vet will confirm that. Until such time he will not formally be named, but the name his foster mother gave him was Bitty, because he is such a tiny bit of a thing. So he will remain Bitty for a few more days until we decide on a name.

What a little bundle of cuteness! He's all white except for a black tail and a black patch on his head which looks kind of like a butterfly. We just brought him home yesterday, and needless to say the poor little fella is quite stressed and confused and has been sleeping alot.

No craft project today but I thought you might like to see what kept me busy yesterday! I'll get back to my paper and ink as soon as I can!

  4. Awww, what a little cutie pie, Sandy. While Bitty will never be a replacement for Oreo, he can certainly fill a void for that furry companionship that all cats provide. Enjoy!

  5. We've just lost one of our cats - an indoor cat, she scooted out the door on Saturday night & no sign of her yet. It's definitely a sign from Oreo that you found out about this little bitty right at that time. Welcome baby cat! :)

  6. Your new little furry friend is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. I'm sure he just needs a bit of time to adjust and then he will be devoted to you always. So kind of you to take him in and give him a good home :)
P.S. I think it looks like he has a bow on his head!

  9. Sandy, I know that Oreo sent along little Bitty to be with you. He truly is an absolute cutie. I can't wait to see the photos you post as he grows into a cat. I know that he will help to fill a little of the void left by Oreo.
Bug hugs to you and a cuddle to Bitty.

  10. Such a cutie! Rescue kitties are the best kind. I know it can be difficult to bring a new kitty home after you've lost one but it sounds like Bitty was meant to be with you. Best wishes to all of you as Bitty adjusts to his new surroundings.
