Gold Feathers For You, Paper Players 218

Greetings, Stampers! It's Sunday, time for another Paper Players challenge, and this week the hostess is me! It's a Clean and Simple challenge with the option of using silver or gold on your project. I have all sorts of metallic goodies in my stash and had fun pulling them all out and deciding what to use.

I went in a bit of a different direction than my normal style as I wanted the beautiful papers to take center stage. I used Gold Soiree Designer Paper (LOVE this stuff), Gold Foil Paper and Gold Glimmer Paper.

Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch was perfect for what I had in mind. I eliminated the three dots though, as they got totally lost on the patterned paper.

I struggled a little bit with the white panel. I tried background stamping and I tried embossing, but everything looked to busy. In the end I decided to leave it plain white. I used a piece of retired textured paper to add just a little more interest.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: A Round Array
Card Stock: Whisper White, Textured White
Designer Series Paper: Gold Soiree
Ink Pads: Gold Encore
Tools: Big Shot, Feathers Framelits, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch
Accessories: Gold Foil Paper, Gold Glimmer Paper, Gold 1/8" Ribbon

Thanks for visiting, and please visit the rest of the DT at The Paper Players! I hope you'll play along with my challenge, too!

  11. This is a gorgeous card Sandy - I totally missed this DSP in the pack, so much so I had to go check it was even in mine!!! I love all the gold elements - and your brave use of the white section, which works so well.
