Hi, Friends! I've titled this card My Deconstructed Card because that is exactly what I did to it; put it together and then took it apart. This card originally had a Mossy Meadow card base, embossed background, a big crumpled up leaf and some swoopy loops of Linen Thread. I hated it! One by one I started removing ingredients, and I wound up with a much more CAS card, and I must say I prefer this version. I've been gravitating more and more to clean and simple cards, not so much because they are easier, but more calming. However, maybe tomorrow you'll see a card on my blog loaded with layers, and piles of ribbon and glitter! Depends upon my mood!
I love the sketch by Mary Jo at the TSSC Sketch Challenge this week, and thank her so much for selecting this card last week! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration, Mary Jo!
I'm also playing along with Friday Mashup where the challenge this week is to: Create a project using the "Sketch", or Create a project with "Leaves", or Mash it Up! and create a project with "Leaves using the Sketch". I didn't use the sketch but I think I have plenty of leaves!
After I took apart my original creation, this turned out to be a super easy card. The only thing stamped is the sentiment, and my one embellishment is an Autumn Wooden Element tied off with a bit of frayed Gold Baker's Twine. I adhered it to my card with a bit of Liquid Tombo Adhesive.
