Hooray for Today CASE

Hi, Friends! Last night was my stamping class and I think a good time was had by all! My theme this month was "Around the House" and we made projects using common household items. This card was made using a pencil eraser, and is a "CASE" of a card made by the talented Heidi Baks. I changed very little of her card, basically only the sentiment and the addition of sequins.

I'm also joining along in the fun at my friend Darnell's NBUS challenge. This is the every first time I am inking up any of the stamps from the Geometrical Stamp Set. Plus my brand new bag of #2 pencils, but I don't know if that counts!

The smaller dots were made using a stamp from the Festival of Trees Stamp Set, and the larger dots made with a pencil eraser. If you are going to re-create this, be sure to invest in a brand new pencil or one designated only for stamping!

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Geometrical, Festival of Trees
Card Stock: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink Pads: Memento Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana
Accesories: In Color Sequins
Non SU: Pencil Erasers

Have a great day, everyone!

  1. Somewhere someone is seeing this who paid big money for a background stamp full of small dots, lol! This is really a cool and simple technique, Sandy, with lots of impact!! I'm sure your group loved it! Thank you so much for playing in my second NBUS Challenge!! Hugs, Darnell
