Hello Fall! for The Paper Players

Greetings, Friends! It was a crazy-busy but fun day yesterday. My neighbors and I had a huge multi-family yard sale with seven families participating. I think we caused a bit of traffic congestion on my street! It's really fun to see what items people are interested in buying. Lots of people seem to love tools, jewelry, fishing supplies and electronics. It was quite successful and best of all, I can see the floor in both my garage and attic now. It is absolutely incredible how much stuff a family of five accumulates living in the same house for 18 years. How much unused "stuff" do you have at your house? I want to hear about it!

On to the challenge!!! This week the wonderful Ann Schach is hostess at The Paper Players, and the theme is "Happy Fall, Y'all!"

Can you believe I have never owned a pumpkin stamp set before? I prefer "cute" over "creepy" when it comes to Halloween and never found one I loved. This year, however, there is an adorable trio of pumpkins (plus a bunch of cute faces and some leaves) in the new Fall Fest stamp set from Stampin' Up, which was a must-have for me.

My color scheme was inspired by the retired Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP, and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. The timing of their sketches coincide so nicely with The Papers Players challenges!

This card was easy as can be, thanks to coordinating Framelits. The only difficulty was one misplaced (and still not found) photopolymer stamp. Those little babies are so sticky (in a good way) that they stick to anything! I know I will find it eventually, probably stuck the bottom of one of my ga-zillion plastic shoe boxes.

  3. I'm glad your yard sale was a success! We have too much unused stuff and it does add clutter to the house. A yard sale sounds like a great fall project.

Your card is wonderful! The honeycomb embossing looks fantastic and I love the pumpkins. I'm glad you finally found some pumpkin stamps you like. Terrific fall card!

  5. I love your pumpkins against the embossed background! I also don't own a pumpkin stamp - I resisted this set, but think I met have to get it; it's the whole matching framelit thing, just too tempting! Great fall card Sandy.
