Neutral Dreams

Happy Monday Morning, Stampers! Ok, maybe not everyone is happy about Mondays but it is a new week, a fresh start. Yay! Right? I'll stop before you start throwing imaginary darts at me, LOL! Anywho, I'm posting a card for zero challenges today. I know! So unlike me!

About a week ago, hubby and I spent a few days at his brother and sister-in-laws house on the Jersey Shore. It was a wonderful time and this is a thank you card to them. Their home is exquisitely decorated in neutral tones, and I tried to channel Holly's amazing decorating skills a bit with this card.

So here are a few details... The background paper is Stampin' Up Typeset DSP. I stamped over it with the images from World of Dreams and Gorgeous Grunge, and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. The focal panels were torn by hand. The center was inked with a clear block, and the other images stamped over it. I ran out of black Candy Dots, so I used a retired black brad. Some Linen Thread ties things up!

I carried one of images to the inside of my card. So perfect.

... and a matching envie. By the way, I have begun trying to photograph my pictures outside in natural light. What do you think? I must say it is a diffucult thing to do on the south shore of Long Island as there is always a breeze. And don't even talk to me about snow in the winter!
